Item Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Food Handlers toward Compliance with Food Safety Measures in Hey Algamaa and Hey Alhuda Restaurants, SharqElneel Locality December 2018–November 2019(Nileuniversity, 2019) Mustafa,Israa Alsafi; Mohammed,Hiba Gesmallah; Alzubir,Marium Khalf Allah; Mohammed,Rayan AlgundiBackground: Food handlers with poor hygiene, lack of training and poor knowledge, attitude and practice of food safety measures can be a source of many diseases. The objectives: To assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of food handlers toward compliance with food safety measures in Hay Algamaa and Hey alhuda Restaurants, ShareqElneel Locality, December 2018–November 2019. Method: Face-to-face interviews were conducted within the random sample of 70 food handlers, using a structured questionnaire to collect data about personal data, knowledge, attitude, practice and personal hygiene. A checklist was used to test practice and attitude of food handlers. Data were analyzed using SPSS program. Results: Out of 70the respondents (70%) had good knowledge about food safety measures, (88.9%) had a good attitude, (51.4%) with Average practice. Conclusion: Most of food handlers had good and average knowledge and attitude towards food safety measure respectively, therefore continuous Training of FH about food safety measures, and regular checkup will enhance food safety system in Sudan.Item Assessing Client Satisfaction about Family Planning Methods, A Cross Sectional Study From two PHC centers, Al-Wihda Al-itihady & Al-Shaheeda Nada PHC centers(Nileuniversity, 2019-11) Ahmed ,Amna Ibrahim; Osman,Annan Mohammed; Yusuf,Fatima Zahra; Mohammed,Fatima Saeed; Lapai,Sumayya IsahBackground: Assessment of the Family planning (FP) client satisfaction for service conduction in healthcare facilities is receiving growing acceptance as a contrivance for monitoring and evaluation in developing countries for primary health care program. Good quality of family planning service helps individuals and couples to meet their reproductive health needs in a safe and effective way. So, it can help in increasing family planning users as a result, controlling morbidity, mortality rate and unplanned population growth.(1) • OBJECTIVES: 1. To assess the level of satisfaction of family planning methods among women attending PHC. 2. To assess the knowledge about family planning. 3. To assess the practice of family planning methods. • METHODS AND MATERIALS: An Observational, descriptive cross-sectional studies by total coverage of(300) women of reproductive age in Alwihda Al-itihady and Al-shaheeda Nada PHC centers, using structured administered questionnaire to obtain data from Respondents. • RESULTS: According, to the data collected from 1st February 2019 to 1st October 2019 from Al-shaheeda Nada PHC centers and Al-wihda Al-itihady PHC center respectively, 41.9% and 62.1% are very satisfied with family planning services, 24.2% and 12.1% are moderately satisfied with the services because they experienced side effects, 19.4% and 17.2% are mildly satisfied with the services due to side effects. ,clients who are not satisfied with family planning services are 14.5% and 8.6% respectively. Knowledge about family planning in Al-wihda Al-itihady PHC center was found to be 72% and practice was 50.9%,X while in Al-shaheeda Nada PHC center they were found to • CONCLUSION: We concluded that majority of clients having knowledge about family planning is high, but the practice of family planning is comparably low. Among respondents practising family planning, a higher percentage is found to be highly satisfied with the outcomes, fewer proportion of clients satisfaction about family planning is remarkably low, mostly due to side effects experienced. The application will provide a better way to help a foreigner, it will ease their mind in providing security, by efficiently and safely booking/reserving a hotel room before arrival to avoid roaming about the streets which could lead to theft.0 An application will be built for a foreigner, by designing the frontend and backend of the system which will provide necessary friendly features for the user to be able to use it. The application will then be tested to check if it has fulfilled all that is required, and performing its functions effectively without any error or drawback. Non-communicable diseases are amenable to health promotion, prevention and medical interventions. Improved social conditions, quality of diet, body weight, smoking cessation, and increased physical activity can greatly reduce the burden of NCDs. Methods: This study aims to assess the attitude and practice of medical students towards the role of physical activity in noncommunicable diseases prevention in Nile University as perceived by students. An Observational-based analytical, cross-sectional study design. The study revealed the highest frequency of participants lies between the age group of 21-25 years (72.3%). Result: The study samples were 81 males(43.1%) and 107 females(56.9%). From the studies, (51%) of student do not engage in physical activities and only (49%) of students participate in physical activities. The frequency of participation in physical activities are; Students who engage in physical activities daily were 14(7.4%) and 37 of the students (19.7%) engage weekly, while 40 students (21.3%) engage in physical activity monthly. Students that participate in planned physical activities for health benefits were 86(45.7%), and 4 students (2.1%) practice physical activities for social reasons, while a single student practice physical activities due to doctor’s advice 1 (5%). Conclusion: The study concluded that the majority (83%) of the students have knowledge towards the role of physical activities in prevention of major NCDs. Good knowledge, attitude, and practice are essential to prevent and stop the widespread transmission. Aim of the study:The aim of thisresearch project was to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice regarding COVID-19 infection among physicians and nurses in Al-Banjadeed hospital. Methods & materials:This descriptive cross sectional study was conducted among 88 participants 31 were physicians and 57 were nurses at Banjadeed hospital, El-hajj Yousif Khartoum North, from May 2022 to September 2022. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire distributed to the physicians and nurses. Results:A total of 88 participants completed the questionnaire with a response rate of 100%.The result showed 68.2% of the participants were female, 86.4% of the participants were aged 20 to 40 years, 83% were bachelor degree holders and 65.9% were nurses. Majority of the participants were from pediatric department and highest working experience is less than 2 years for 70.5% of them. Official websites (ministry of health, WHO, and CDC) were the primary source of information for 36.4% of the participants. Most of the participants have good knowledge, good attitude and better practice. There were no significant difference of knowledge with gender (P>.05). However there was significant difference of practice with profession (physician and nurses) (P<.05). Conclusions: the findings demonstrated that the physicians and nurses have good knowledge, attitude and better practice towards COVID-19 infection. There was significant difference of practice with profession.Item The Acceptance of the COVID-19 Vaccination Among Sixth Year Medical Students in Nile University(Nile University, 2022) Suliman,Reem Mubarak; Saad Omer,Nada Sami; Bashir Mohamed,Mohammed Omar; Hussien,Najla Ibrahim; Abd Elhman ,Muna Mohamed; Lapai,Sakina Isah; Ahmed,Akram Abdelrahman: The novel coronavirus first emerged in December 2019 and quickly developed into a global pandemic of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by March 2020. [1] Since then, the number of COVID-19 cases has been escalating and as of 4th August 2022 there had been over 578 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 including over 6.4 million deaths. vaccination could be the key protective measure against the spread of the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This study aimed to assess the level of acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine its determinants among medical students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study conducting by applying questionnaire based on google form was sent via WhatsApp from 20th June to 2th July 2022. Data was analyzed by using a SPSS version 26. Chi-square test was used to assess the association between acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine and demographical information, non-demographical information, and belief that Covid-19 vaccination is a good preventative measure against the spread of Coronavirus. Result: Out of the 135 students, 101 was selected using simple random sampling to be included in our study. Over 90% of students were under the age of 26 with females slightly more than males. The majority of students were Sudanese (n=94, 93.1%), with foreigners totaling fifteen students (14.9%). The level of acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine was less than hesitancy (n=46, n=55). The most cited reasons for accepting the vaccine were to protect themselves and others from COVID-19 infection (n=25, 54.4%), (n=18, 39.1%). Concerns about possible side effects of the vaccine (n=18, 40%) and doubts over its efficacy (n=13, 28.9%) were the main reasons reported by those who were hesitant. Significant factors associated with vaccine acceptance was increased perceived risk of contracting Covid 19 (p value= 0.034) as well as level of agreement towards ‘Covid 19 being a good preventative measure against the spread of Coronavirus’ (p value=.000).
